USCF National Invitationals

USCF National Invitational Tournaments

The United States Chess Federation runs a number of national invitational tournaments where each state is permitted to nominate one player to represent the state:

Rockefeller – Elementary (Grades K-5)
Barber ——– Junior High (Grades 6-8)
Denker ——- High School (Grades 9-12)
Haring ——- Girls ———– (Grades K-12)
Senior ——– (Age 50+)

These events take place in conjunction with the US Open, which is being held in St Louis this year and the invitationals will take place August 8-11, 2020.

Please note that nominees must pay their own way to these events.

The MCA board has decided to base nominations strictly on USCF rating.
The scholastic tournaments are organized by grade and since MCA does not track members’ ages or grades, we need all the candidates for these invitationals to submit their information or questions via this link:

You will not be considered for a nomination if the MCA does not know your grade (or age for the senior event).
