The six players to compete in the Montana Closed shall be, in order of priority:
1. The previous year’s State Champion.
2. The top two players in the Grand Prix Standings.
3. The top three finishers with plus scores in the Montana Open.

This year’s qualifiers were selected as follows:

1. Rasul Nazriev – Defending Champion (requirement to play in tournament in current season was met)

2. Alex Karns – Grand Prix 1st Place ( and Montana Open 1st place making this slot vacant )

2. Thomas Walthall – Grand Prix 2nd Place ( and Montana Open 3rd place making this slot vacant )

3. John Julian – Montana Open 2nd place

3. Ben Curtis – Grand Prix Points ( filling the vacant slot of Max DeFanti )

Max was the only player to earn Grand Prix points in all 6 tournaments! Unfortunately, Max is unable to play in the Closed ]

3. Wilton Strickland – Grand Prix Points ( filling the Montana Open 3rd place vacant slot )
