At the 2026 annual meeting some changes to the MCA membership rules were considered and two changes were passed:

1) MCA will continue to provide a free first year membership to unrated players who are under the age of 19 at the start of their first tournament. We will no longer provide a free membership to unrated players who are 19 or above. Those players will have to pay the standard membership fee of $15.

2) MCA now has a family membership option for $40. This membership will cover all parents and children under the age of 19 living in a household at the same address.
