Chess Camp Announcement

A Billings CHESS tournament for KIDS ages 7-18

Come learn from the two time Montana open champion. Will learn tactics, openings, strategy and have time to answer all of your questions, and play lots of chess.

Come for fun and competitive chess where you will be matched to play people of your skill level and age.

We will study, and play all week and top it off with a tournament and pizza party.

When: Monday through Friday, 1:00pm to approximately 3:00pm, March 25-29th.

Who: All Montanans 7-18 that know the rules of chess. Skill level is not important, what is important is a desire to participate.  Please pre-register.

Where : Boys and Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County   505 Orchard lane, 59101

Cost: $30 registration if you pre-register by email, or $10 per

day,  if you can only make it to one or two days. (Free for those who need a scholarship)

The point of this event is to encourage sportsmanship, mental patience, and the chess community here in Billings. Tournament Chess sets will be completely provided. Pizza will be provided for dinner on friday.  Parents and grandparents are encouraged to come and watch but will be kicked out of the tournament room if caught talking to participants while their games are still going on.
