Explanation of functionality This is the start page. It contains news, tournament reviews and notes from the MCA board. Website Help Here you are! This page offers an explanation of site functionality. Events This is the menu heading for Events. This is not a link Tournaments This is the Tournaments sub-menu heading. This is not a link Coming Tournaments This page shows all relevant information for tournaments scheduled from today through the end of the year. Carpool information is linked from this page and from the calendar. You can add yourself to the list of people who intend to go the tournament, thus making it easy to share rides! You can remove yourself from the list at any time. Once on the list, your public contact information will be displayed. Results This is were you can come to see tournament results. An archive of all events entered into the database will be kept on file. Tournament Reports Text reports submitted by TDs to the MCA Board after a tournament is over. View Calendar This shows events (tournaments and non tournaments) for a given month. It defaults to this month and you can navigate forward and backward using the arrows on the calendar. Today is highlighted in red. Members This is the Members menu heading. This is not a link. Chess Links These are links to some great chess sites. When you are logged in you may suggest a link which will be reviewed and posted if appropriate. Play Computer This is a java applet computer chess program which can be played on the site. The program is perhaps not excellent, but it's good for a game. Game Viewer This is an exciting addition to the site. We are using the Montreux PGN game viewer which has been configured to be able to read games uploaded by users. There are already hundreds of games by grandmasters and other players available to view. Annotation of the games is available when included in the PGN file. You can select different database files of games by clicking the file cabinet link and selecting a file. Games that MCA users upload will appear in "MCA Games". Play with the features and you'll get the hang of it. My USCF Rating * This page requires your USCF number. If yours is already in the system, then a button will appear to launch a window displaying your USCF information. If we don't have your member number, you may enter it here or on your profile page. MCA Member List * This page allows you to view members who have registered on this site. You can sort the list by club or by name by clicking the column heading. If you click on a person's name, their personal information will be displayed. Only the information which they have set as public will be shown. Edit My Profile * This page allows you to enter and update your contact and personal information. You can set the access to "public" or "private" at any time. Only information you deem as public (and publicly defaulted information) will be available to other site users. Regional Clubs This is the Regional Clubs menu heading. This is not a link.
