When: Saturday, July 12, 2008

EF: $10 by July 9, $15 at the door (juniors–under age 20–half price)

Format: one-day, 4 RD Swiss, full K

On-site Registration: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.; mandatory players meeting 8:45 a.m.

Rounds: 9:00 a.m., 10:45 p.m., 1:00 p.m and 3:15 p.m.

Time Controls: RDS 1 & 2 = G in 45; RDS 3 & 4 = G in 60 (insufficient losing
chances in effect)

Prizes: All revenue beyond 12 paid adults (estimated expenses) will be used to create a prize fund

MCA membership required of all Montana Residents

Special Conditions: City-mates will not be paired, no matter how atypical the pairings

Reg: 9:00-9:40 July 12th
Reg: $18, 18 and Under $15, un-rated players play for free by 7/11 $25 at the site, un-rated players play for free.
T/C G/90 Rds: Sat. 10, 1:30, 5:30
Sun. 9:30, 1:30 or ASAP

Prizes: 1st $125, 2nd $100
B/U200 $75, B/U 1700 $75,
B/U 1400 $75 Biggest Upset $75.
(Both players must have established ratings.) Section prizes based on at least 4 per section. 1 half point by is available as well. Byes must be requested before previous round ends. Sunday Byes must be requested before the end of round 3. T.D. reserves the right to use class pairings in the final round.

Coffee and snacks provided

Special event in the Spokane Falls Open will be held concurrently with the Spokane City Championship match on July 10, 12, & 13. Spokane City Champion Dave Sprenkle will be playing the winner of a six player round robin that will take place on June 28-29.

City Championship:
7-10 Rd. 1 7:30 Spokane Chess Club
7-12 Rd. 2 10:00, Rd. 3 4:30
7-13 Rd. 4 9:30 (if necessary)
If tied a G/10 playoff will decide the champion. It will be the first to earn 3 points.
